Based on a 180 years of history traditional know-how and wisdom, Nanjo Kobo is one of the few workshops in Kyoto that specializes in the manufacture of Sahari Orin bell (Shinto and buddhism musical instruments) used during festival and among them the famous Gion Festival that takes place in Kyoto every summer.
"LinNe was born out of the desire to make the sound of the Sahari Orin bell more enjoyable for everyone. "Sahari" is an alloy of copper and a large amount of tin, which was used in the Shōsō-in, the treasure house of Todai-ji temple in Nara in ancient times.
After many years of research, a unique combination of copper and tin was created, that gave to the Orin bell a very clear and delicate deep sound.
The sound of the Sahari Orin is kind of nostalgic, calm, and clear. Why don't you find your own favorite daily life sound ?
