TÉ.ORI brings exquisite creations woven with highly skilled techniques and originality to our modern lives. TÉ.ORI was born from the meeting of passionate craftsmen from Tango and world-renowned textile designers. A new brand that shines with the craftsmanship and individuality of the Tango region.
Traditional techniques and inspiration from nature
Drawing inspiration from traditional techniques and nature, the weaving studio Tamiya Raden has been continuously exploring various expressions by incorporating seashells, lacquer, leather, and other materials into the woven fabrics. Based on their profound experience and ingenuity, they have created textiles with amazing material combinations. The leather stole is also one of their new creations.
A new kind of stole born from traditional techniques
The leather silk stole utilizes the traditional "hikibaku" technique which is commonly used in obi (kimono sashes). The leather (cowhide) is cut into 0.13mm thick strips that are woven one by one by hand creating an entirely new material. The stole features a unique visual aesthetic that combines the suppleness of silk with the texture of leather, allowing for three-dimensional styling due to the characteristics of the leather.
With just one stole, a variety of looks can be enjoyed, making it a versatile and valuable accessory suitable for any season and style.
