The Uzan kiln has inherited the traditional techniques of Shigaraki but while keeping the traditions alive, the Uzanyou workshop proposes ceramics that incorporate the Japanese concept of « Yo-no-bi » where functionality (Yo) is combined beauty (Bi) to meet the needs today's lifestyles. Constantly searching for innovation and new sensitivities in their work, Uzanyou’s goal is to create vessels that continue to grow with their users and that have the capacity of gently illuminating the objects placed in them.

The original handle is slightly large and allows your fingers to naturally rest around the mug. With a capacity of 350 ml, it is easy to hold and the perfect size for your morning coffee or afternoon tea.
A blue glaze is applied to the rim of the cup for a pleasant and sensory feel in your mouth. The amazing black color of the main body is a naturally achieved during the firing in the kiln. Created with the power of nature the black Shigaraki cup provides a sense of strength and softness at the same time.

・Although the vessel surfaces and bottoms have been filed, please note that some roughness may remain.
・Do not use over an open flame.
・Please rinse with cold or hot water before use. The product is water-absorbent, soaking in water will prevent stains from various beverages.
・After use, please clean and dry well before storage to prevent mold or stains.
・The glaze may discolor or become stained after use. This is a characteristic of the glaze and does not affect the quality.
